Based on advanced technology both loacally and abroad,our company has produced a series of square billet continuous casters of R2.25m, R4m, R5.25 and R6m, made up of the flow casting ladle, the crystallizer, the crystallizing shaker mechanism, the ingot-drawing device, the water cooler for once, the water cooler for twice, the billet stenter and the multipoint straightening cutting machine, for the production of single-flow and multi-flow models of 60mm, 70mm, 80mm, 90mm, 100mm, 120mm, 150mm, 180mm and 220mm, among which the 60-90mm are complete machines.
The 60-90mm possess advantages as follows:
1. They take a smaller space and the workbench is adjustable in size or even non-existent according to different fixing ways.
2. Casting can be operated in various ways: casting by a dead lift or lifting by the overhead crane, casting with the railcar, or casting directly with the electric furnace.
3. The lowest height of the machine is 1.8m, with the length 6m, the width 5.4m. A machine lower than 3m can be installed in a common civilian house, and if installed with 1m under the ground, can be cast in directly with the electric furnace.
4. As compact complete machines, they can be installed with ease in a short time by overall lifting and can go on stream once the power and the water pipe are discharged.
5. The size of the billet is so small that it is no longer as-cast, eg , the temperature needs to be raised by as low as 300℃ (the billet is at about 950℃) for continuous casting and rolling to configure a rolling mill of 25 or 30 mm.
6. The range of the quantum of casting molten steel is large from 100kg to several tons. It can be on or off easily and the preparation time for oprating is as short as within 10mins.
7. It requires no high quality from operators, anyone through a short-term training will do.
8. It requires least from cooling water. Any water quality can be put to use with no requirements from water quality, acidity or alkalinity, softness or hardness, or minerals.
9. It can draw low, normal, and high carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, etc.
10. It operates easily, works placidly and reliably, and drawing speed can be regulated steplessly.
11. Its simplest design saves numbers of maintaining items and ensures working order.
